Our purpose
SHARE is a mission-driven non-profit that connects science, culture and arts for collaborative action to empower young people, strengthen communities, and advance inclusive and sustainable solutions.
Our initiatives
SHARE Ensemble
SHARE Ensemble is a collective of purpose-driven young professional musicians based in Paris, formed around the principles of inclusion, diversity, and equality. Through accessible concerts and public events that combine music, visual storytelling, and dialogue, the Ensemble uses artistic excellence as a civic tool to raise awareness, encourage engagement, and inspire collective action on social and environmental challenges.
Active in different configurations since 2020 and formally established under SHARE-INNO in 2025, the Ensemble empowers young artists to place their talent at the service of social justice, climate responsibility, and democratic values, while creating meaningful connections between culture, science, and society.
We-LEAD Now! is an award-winning programme that enables young people to become active contributors to social and environmental transformation. Rooted in democratic participation, intergenerational dialogue, and the integration of scientific and local knowledge, the programme supports young people in identifying challenges in their communities and co-creating practical, context-sensitive solutions.
Implemented in diverse settings for more than two decades and rebranded as We-LEAD Now! in 2025, the programme has equipped thousands of young people with the confidence, skills, and agency to act on sustainability, social justice, and climate-related issues.

The SHARE Ensemble’s events contribute to the development of We-LEAD Now! and to youth-led action in diverse communities.

He created the world’s largest event for sustainable solutions, gathering over 30,000 participants annually to accelerate positive change. As a nominator for The Earthshot Prize and a Board Member of Impact France, he builds ecosystems where entrepreneurs, investors, and communities collaborate to scale environmental and social innovation, advancing solidarity and sustainability worldwide.
Marja Makarow, President of Academia Europaea, is a distinguished leader in research and innovation, having held senior roles across Europe’s scientific landscape. She served, among others, as Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of Helsinki, Chief Executive of the European Science Foundation, Vice Chair of the Founding Board of Aalto University, and as a Board Member of the University of the Arts Helsinki, contributing to the advancement of interdisciplinary education and creativity. With experience on the Boards of the EIT, EIC and the Finnish Prime Minister’s Research and Innovation Council, she is a strong advocate for knowledge-driven sustainability and collaboration.
Lars Montelius, Professor Emeritus at Lund University and former Director-General of the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, is a global leader in research, technology, and innovation for sustainable development. With more than three decades of experience in research and innovation, he has built international networks, founded companies, and championed ecosystems that link science and innovation to societal needs. His work reflects a lifelong commitment to harnessing science for the benefit of people and planet.
Maja Wegrzynowska, senior leader in arts and philanthropy, is Director and Head of International Sales at J & A Beare, Vice-President of the Beares International Violin Society, and an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music. She combines artistic leadership with a deep commitment to sustainability and community empowerment, and is passionate about using music as a common language for resilience and solidarity. Through her international perspective and support for aspiring artists, she brings to SHARE a dedication to linking culture, education, and sustainability to foster dialogue and collective action.
Benno Werlen, UNESCO Chair on Global Understanding for Sustainability at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, is a founding member of the UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition and Chair at the Academia Europaea. As initiator of The Jena Declaration and an internationally recognized scholar with over 200 publications, he has dedicated his career to connecting science, culture, and society in the pursuit of sustainability. His leadership and vision continue to inspire global dialogue and collaboration for resilient futures.

Valérie
Valérie is the Vice President at SHARE, with over 25 years of experience guiding global luxury houses, creative directors, and executive teams in brand strategy, positioning, and purpose-driven innovation. Her work bridges creativity, sustainability, and systems thinking to help brands evolve meaningfully. A recognized voice featured in Marie Claire and Capital, Valérie plays a key role in redefining the meaning of luxury in a time of planetary urgency and collective reinvention.
Bartu
Bartu is the Chief Artistic & Climate Advocacy Officer of SHARE. He is an artist, researcher, European Climate Pact Ambassador for the European Commission, one of the three Distinguished Friends of the UNICEF ÎdF, Art Ambassador of The Jena Declaration (UNESCO Chair) and an Artist for the US-based Amazon Aid Foundation. His expertise bridges creativity, advocacy, and community engagement, empowering youth to drive meaningful change.
Laurence
Laurence is an experienced event director, presenter, and moderator, with a rich background in organizing and hosting conferences, debates, and forums. She has moderated and led key events such as the 10th Anniversary of the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation and the Human Rights Day at UNESCO Paris, among others. Her work spans cultural and social issues, earning her prestigious medals from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the City of Paris
Manuel
Manuel is the Science Diplomacy Specialist at SHARE, with 17 years of professional experience and over nine years dedicated to science and innovation policies. He combines deep analytical expertise with a strong understanding of the science-policy interface, applying both qualitative and quantitative methods using advanced digital tools. His work supports evidence-informed decision-making, with a focus on inclusive innovation, institutional learning, and global cooperation.
Pierre
Pierre is the President of SHARE. He is an R&D and innovation specialist and an artist with over 30 years of experience in research and innovation ecosystems and management across sectors like advanced materials, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. He has founded two high-tech companies and provides strategic advice to policy-makers and firms on innovation processes. Pierre also mentors young entrepreneurs, startups, and research organisations, and engages in social justice and the rights of First Nations.
Berke
Berke is the Secretary General of SHARE. He has a background in scientific and environmental engineering, with over 30 years of experience. His expertise spans managing complex innovation projects and developing cutting-edge solutions in the environmental sector. Berke has worked with various industries and institutions to drive impactful change through strategic innovation and social entrepreneurship initiatives as well as culture-driven programs.
Deniz
Deniz is the Creative Communications and Project Manager at SHARE, combining her background as an artist and multidisciplinary designer with a strong commitment to sustainability and inclusive innovation. As a volunteer contributor to climate-driven social enterprise initiatives, she brings impactful visual storytelling and advocacy skills, and integrates climate action, sustainable development, and inclusivity into her creative practice.
Gulenay
Gulenay is the Project Manager and Data Specialist at SHARE, with experience implementing youth programs, including We-LEAD, and supporting international projects focused on climate action and sustainable development. She contributes to the design, analysis, and interpretation of data to generate meaningful insights that support evidence-based learning and decision-making across diverse contexts and global initiatives.
Sirin
Sirin is the Chief Impact Officer of SHARE specializing in transformative change and innovation-driven development. With 33 years of experience at a global level, she is an expert in using culture and the arts for science communication and empowerment, also advising multilateral organizations and governments on science, innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. She lectures on innovation ecosystems and mentors young researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, and women in STEM.
Jerome
Jerome is the Strategic Programs and Impact Advisor at SHARE, with over 18 years of experience in science, technology and innovation, poverty reduction, and agriculture. He specializes in designing and implementing projects, programs, and MEL systems for UN agencies and multilateral organizations. With deep knowledge the dynamics of developing and least-developed countries, he has coordinated numerous initiatives across the globe.
Doga
Doga is a Program & Artistic Coordinator at SHARE. She has gained experience through her involvement with UNESCO and UNICEF initiatives, which strengthened her perspective on education, cultural dialogue, and inclusive development. With a background in literature, music, and international studies, and a long-term involvement in the arts, cultural activities, and youth initiatives, she brings a thoughtful, internationally oriented perspective to program coordination.
Nuray
Nuray is a Climate Resilience & Regenerative Innovation Advisor at SHARE, with over 33 years of international experience in science, innovation, and sustainable development. A former food scientist and EU project consultant, she now focuses on climate literacy, systems thinking, and circular economy to build community resilience and support the transition to a zero-waste lifestyle. As an eco-artivist, she also uses waste and nature-based materials to create art that inspires environmental awareness.
